Toledo, OH (August 2, 2024) – At around 12:00 a.m. on August 1, emergency crews were summoned to provide assistance on-site at a motor vehicle accident in which one person was hurt.
Reports from the Toledo Police Department indicate that a silver 2016 Jeep Compass was parked on the side of the roadway in the area near 263 Canal Avenue. For unknown reasons, the vehicle was sideswiped by what was described as a red vehicle. The red vehicle fled the scene without stopping. The driver of the Jeep, identified as 34-year-old Daniel Jay Yeupell Jr., was injured in the accident. He was transported to St. Vincent Hospital for emergency care. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
