Richmond Heights, OH (August 4, 2024) – At around 11:00 p.m. on August 2, the Richmond Heights Police Department and firefighters were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that left one person injured.
Police reports show that an unknown vehicle was traveling eastbound on Highland Road during the evening hours. As the vehicle proceeded through the area of Harris Road, a pedestrian was running northbound on the same roadway. For unknown reasons, the vehicle struck the pedestrian, who was identified as 43-year-old Edward Wade of Newport News, Virginia. Wade was transported to University Hospital’s main campus for emergency care. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
