Oakwood, OH (July 17, 2024) – Authorities were summoned to provide assistance at the scene of an automobile accident that occurred in Oakwood Village. The collision took place at around 5:20 p.m. on July 15.
According to police reports, a maroon Toyota Avalon was exiting the parking lot of the Family Dollar store located at 25880 Broadway Avenue during the evening hours. As the vehicle attempted to turn left onto Broadway Avenue to travel northbound from the parking lot, it collided with a white 2000 Toyota Corolla. The Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound on the roadway. The driver of the Toyota Avalon fled the scene of the crash without stopping. The driver of the Toyota Corolla, identified as 64-year-old Kim Watkins, was injured in the crash. She was transported to Twinsburg Family Health and Surgery Center for emergency treatment. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
