Beachwood, OH (July 17, 2024) – At around 12:24 p.m. on July 15, the police and firefighters in Beachwood were called to the scene of an automobile accident in which one person was hurt.
Official reports indicate that a white 2003 vehicle was traveling westbound on US Route 422 In the left turn lane. At the same time, a white 2011 vehicle was traveling eastbound on the same roadway while utilizing the right lane. A blue 2011 vehicle was stopped in traffic in the right turn lane on Park East Drive at the intersection of US Route 422. As the driver of the 2003 vehicle proceeded forward, they failed to yield the right-of-way. As a result, they turned left in front of the white 2011 vehicle, resulting in the two cars colliding. The impact of the crash caused the 2003 vehicle to strike the front of the blue vehicle. The accident resulted in injuries. Emergency medical services responded to the scene to render aid to 49-year-old Chauntal Latrice Hackworth. She was then transported to AHUJA Medical Center for further treatment. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
